GRAVEL THE BLOCK - Greatest Greatshield PVP - Dark Souls II,Games,,GREATSHIELDS ARE THE GREATEST WEAPON! Who needs to backstab when you can faceslam? Man, this was a fun build. Sadly recently they have nerfed the tracking before I even got to release the video! RIP Gravel, never go hollow. Here are some little tips I learned from using this; -The strongest shield for damage is actually Havel's with 380 AR at +5 while Gyrm has 320 AR at +10. -After a slam you can pull of firewhip or fire storm which is more or less guaranteed a few hits, sadly, no clips in that video. -The different movesets of one or two handing are surprisingly varied and lord knows they don't know what any of them are. -You can Block and backstep at the same time, nice to have i-frames with block if needed. Plus backstepping effect is much less diminshed by weight compared to rolling. -You might see that I aim away from my enemy, this is because it is faster to toggle the lock on and turn instantly than just turning manually while not locked on. LOTS of surprise hits like this. -Different shields actually consume different amounts of stamina I noticed, odd I know. EG- Eagle compared to Havel's. -Unlike Dark Souls 1, you actually get deflection from players! Think of it as free slam set up! -Some odd blocking seems to happen while jumping very rarely. It could just be lag but I've blocked hits WHILE jumping to slam em. You can see this on the spin-to-win guy in this vid.
